The Sensor Interface Unit enables motion analysis sensors to be readily connected to the data acquisition PC via receptacles on the front panel.

One end of the National Instruments SCH68-68 high density cable plugs into the "Data Acquisition Board" connector on the back of the SIU.  The other end of the cable plugs into the data acquisition board on the back of the PC.

The internal components of the SIU consist of a custom PCB and power supply.  The power supply is used to provide excitation voltage for a linear potentiometer.

The custom PCB provides a physically robust interface to the data input channels on the SCH68-68 cable.
